I love to shop online. Not only can you find some good deals, but you can save some money. It pains me to admit that shopping in Barbados is expensive. It’s amazing what you can buy online and get it a whole lot cheaper even after you factor in shipping costs. My boyfriend loves to shop online and he peruses his favourite websites for online shopping looking for deals on electronics. I asked him for a few of his favourites:
1. Newegg – If you’re into computer hardware and software, Newegg is the site for you. They carry a wide range of computers, cell phones, gaming devices, security hardware and a whole lot more. The selection is very impressive and the prices are competitive.
2. Amazon – I love Amazon. I can find anything I need and sometimes get a free shipping offer. One of my favourite items is the Amazon gift card. You can purchase one online and have it emailed directly to your recipient, who can start shopping right away!
3. Ebay – You can find good deals on Ebay, but it calls for patience. This site allows you to buy stuff without bidding, but that can severely affect how good a deal is. My boyfriend’s tactic when purchasing certain items (like plant seeds) is to wait until there are only a few minutes left in the bidding process, and then make an offer.
4. Tiger Direct – Tiger Direct is another one of those websites for online shopping where you can find anything. They claim to be the largest online electronic store and carry a large selection of computer equipment and electronics. Telephone shopping is also available and they offer free shipping.
5. Overstock – I never shopped at Overstock, but on perusing their site, I can tell you that they have a huge selection. They also personalise the site for your specific location! The last time I went on, they showed the prices of the items in the Barbadian currency and also claimed to offer low international shipping!
